Equal Opportunities
Millennium Training Limited is an Equal Opportunities employer. The aim of Millennium Training’s Recruitment/Selection Policy is to ensure that Millennium Training select the most suitable person for the job on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities and that no employee/job applicant is unfairly treated on any grounds including race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origins, religion, sex, sexuality, actual or perceived AIDS/HIV status or perceived association with an HIV positive person, marital status, age, social background or disability.
Millennium Training will achieve the aims of the Recruitment and Selection Policy by:-
- Ensuring that vacancies reach as wide a pool of potential applicants as practicable.
- Ensuring that there are clear job descriptions and objective person specifications for every job.
- Ensuring that the procedure and code of good practice for recruitment and selection for appointment or promotion, is followed by every Manager, Supervisor and Employee involved in recruitment and selection.
- Ensuring that all staff involved in the recruitment and selection process are given adequate training on Millennium Training’s Policy and Procedures and their responsibilities.
- Monitoring/Reviewing its policy and procedures to ensure that unlawful and unfair practices are not introduced.
- When appropriate as determined by monitoring procedures, take positive action to make this policy fully effective including steps to encourage applications from under represented groups i.e. women, black and ethnic minority groups and people with difficulties.
- Implementation - Responsibility for advising, developing, implementing and monitoring this Policy lies with the Director of Personnel. Day to day operation of the Policy is the responsibility of the Directors of Department who will nominate a Senior Officer to ensure that the Recruitment and Selection principles and procedures are adhered to and provide advice and support within their department.
- Employment of Disabled Persons - All applicants with a disability who meet the minimum criteria for a job vacancy will be interviewed and considered on their abilities.
- Complaints - If any employee/job applicant considers that he or she has been unfairly treated in relation to the Recruitment and Selection Policy or Procedures, he/she can make a complaint which will be dealt with in accordance with the agreed procedures.
This policy is in accordance with the relevant legislation and various codes of practice.
Sex Discrimination
No officer of Millennium Training or other qualified or non-qualified person acting under our banner may discriminate in any way to the detriment of any other person on the basis of gender or any other measure.

Millennium Training Limited is committed to energy and environmental efficiency wherever it is practical and appropriate. All directors and staff of Millennium Training Limited embrace recycling, minimising energy consumption, flexible working hours and telecommuting to reduce the environmental and personal impact of our business.
Millennium Training subscribes to the Government policy on “A better quality of life – a strategy for sustainable development in the United Kingdom ”. As a result, we aim to support the effective protection of the environment insofar as we can influence this through practices which make prudent use of natural resources; and maximises sustainability of all resources, minimises impact on the environment, locally and globally, and adopts a responsible attitude to working in the 21st century. This policy is in accordance with the relevant legislation and various codes of practice.

Health & Safety at Work
Millennium Training requires its employees and Associates to perform their duties in a safe manner. They must ensure at all times that they do not put themselves, or others in danger, and recognise that their actions may well impact upon the safety and health of other employees and Associates.
Furthermore, all Associates and employees of Millennium Training are required to observe and fully comply with the Health and Safety Policies of clients of Millennium Training, when acting on their behalf. This requirement applies whether the person is working on or off the client’s premises.
Finally, Millennium Training requires any accident affecting any employee or Associate when engaged in work for the organisation, or its clients, to be fully recorded in the Accident Book, which is maintained at the company’s Registered Office.
All employees and Associates are required to comply with the relevant legislation in effect within the country of operation.
The Director responsible for Health and Safety is Frank Ritchie. Any relevant queries with respect to Health and Safety should be addressed to him at the Registered Office. He will deal with all relevant matters and will seek competent advice where required.
Our statement of general policy is:
- To provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities;
- To consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety;
- To provide and maintain safe plant and equipment;
- To ensure safe handling and use of substances;
- To provide information, instruction and supervision for employees;
- To ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks, and to give them adequate training;
- To prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill-health;
- To maintain safe healthy working conditions; and
- To review and revise this policy as necessary at regular intervals.

Millennium Training believes in the lifelong learning and development of all its staff. This will ensure the highest levels of professionalism in the service which we offer to our customers and the personal growth and attainment of each member of the team.
Millennium Training’s directors, staff and associates are committed to the CPD obligations of their respective professional institutes and comply with the best practice guidelines set out in these regulations.
Our quality process ensures that each completed project is reviewed by the Project Mentor. This review includes a formal logging of the learning gained during the project and an analysis, based on self-assessment and feedback from customers, of individual learning needs.
Above all, Millennium Training believes that each staff member is responsible for identifying and seeking out innovative and cost-effective means of satisfying their own learning needs with the full support of the executive team.
